Peak Dryness Care
- Nurturing through protection. Regenerating moisture in skin and mucous membranes -

A tranquil photo inspired by dry February skin care

Hello, this is WANA-MI.

February is the driest month of the year.
Humidity is low, and we are exposed to cold winds and heating, which can easily rob us of moisture not only from our skin but also from mucous membranes such as our throats, noses, and eyes.

"My skin feels dry even after using skincare products"
"My throat is sore"
"My eyes get dry easily"

It's not a lack of water,
This may be a sign that your skin's ability to retain moisture is declining .

In the latter half of winter, sebum secretion and the moisture retention ability of the keratin decrease,
This is the season when it's easy to fall into the "put in → run away" loop.
So what we need now is not "giving care,"
This care helps to develop the regenerative abilities of the skin and mucous membranes by protecting them .

Dryness during this time is not just a problem on the surface of the skin, but also a temporary weakening of the body's internal "protective power."
During the latter half of winter, when the cold weather continues, blood flow becomes less likely to reach the extremities, making it difficult for the materials and energy needed to repair mucous membranes and skin to be distributed.

"I'm taking good care of myself, but I can't keep up"
"It's drier than usual."
It's very natural to feel this way.

February is not a time to force yourself to get back on track, but rather a month to gently create an environment that is conducive to recovery.
With that in mind, try to approach your daily care routine.

[Five things we want you to do]

  1. Moisturize within 3 minutes after bathing
It locks in moisture and oil while the keratin is still soft.
  2. Don't wash too much
In the morning, just lukewarm water is fine. It's important not to remove too much sebum.
  3. Add humidity to the room
Aim for 40-50% humidity and use humidifiers or wet towels.
  4. Drink small amounts of water frequently
Focus on retention rather than chugging.
  5. Reduce irritation
Avoid scrubbing, strong fragrances, and excessive exfoliation.

[Food you should eat during this time]

・White fungus

Nutrients of interest: Polysaccharides

·avocado

High-quality lipids that form the sebum film.

[Rhythm adjusted with fragrance]

Sandalwood : Soothes dry nerves and improves breathing (at night, during meditation)

Frankincense : Helps repair mucous membranes and skin (at night, after bathing)

Neroli : Gently relieves dryness (afternoon)

February is the month when the dryness is the most severe.

The quickest way to recovery is to "protect" rather than "add."

Don't rush the moisture, but do it slowly. Grow it according to the season.

During times of severe dryness,
More and more people are becoming conscious of not only skin care but also "protective habits" from the inside out.
WANA-MI also offers items that are suited to seasonal changes.
